Programs
We will help design a program to meet the aims and objectives of your camp. School programs are generally based around groups of ten to twelve students rotating through selected camp activities. At the end of a completed rotation, every student will have had the chance to experience each activity that was part of that rotation.
We can arrange day trips to many of the great places around the Nelson region including trips into the Abel Tasman National Park, over night camping experiences or other off site programs.
For more program information please click on the link. This is a sample, please don’t feel that you are limited to this! We will gladly customize it for you.
Health And Safety
We are committed to the safety and the well being of every person using our facilities or participating in our activities or programs. We aim to make camp as safe as possible for you without restricting your enjoyment of the experiences camp has to offer. Much thought and research has gone into preparing our Safety Management System and Standard Operating Procedures and these are “living” documents that will change from time to time as new situations arise. We have well trained staff and a safety system that meets the standard set by the New Zealand Government.
We first gained OutdoorsMark accreditation in 2014. This ensures that a very comprehensive external audit of all of our policies and procedure has been completed. We have two registered activities on the WorkSafe NZ Register of Adventure Activities and all our other activities have thorough SOP's. Click on link to download SOP's
Catering
One of the best times for students and adults to get together is around meal times and these provide an excellent time to catch up and see how everyone is going. Food and catering are very important aspects of any camp and we strive to provide meals that ensure everyone is fed with plenty of healthy, well-balanced, yummy food.
We are happy to cater for dietary requirements such as vegetarian, low-allergenic, gluten free, Halal etc. Nothing is a problem so please don't hesitate to ask.
